रूद्रपुर। पर्यावरण को समर्पित हरेला पर्व के अवसर पर जिलाधिकारी युगल किशोर पंत ने जिला कार्यालय परिसर में फलदार पौधों का रोपण किया और जनपद वासियों को हरेला पर्व की शुभकामनायें व बधाई दी। उन्होने कहा कि हमे प्रकृति को संजो कर रखना चाहिये, प्रकृति से ही हमारा जीवन सुरक्षित है। उन्होंने कहा कि सभी को समर्पित भाव से प्रकृति संरक्षण की दिशा में आगे बढ़ना होगा और आने वाली पीढ़ी को शुद्ध पर्यावरण मिले, इसके लिए पर्यावरण संरक्षण सबकी सामूहिक जिम्मेदारी है। उन्होने कहा कि जिस तरह से दिन प्रतिदिन भू-जल स्तर कम होता जा रहा है वह एक चिंता का विषय है इस लिये हमे पानी, पर्यावरण को बचाना होगा जिसके लिये अधिक से अधिक वृक्ष लगाने की आवश्यकता है ताकि आने वाली पीढि को पानी व आॅक्सीजन की कमी से जुझना न पड़े। उन्होंने कहा कि हमे दृढ़ संकल्प लेना होगा कि जो पौधे लगाए हैं, उनकी देख-रेख एवं संरक्षण करना हमारा दायित्व है।
पौधारोपण के पश्चात जिलाधिकारी के नेतृत्व में कलेक्ट्रेट परिसर में वृहद्ध स्वच्छता अभियान चलाकर साफ-सफाई की गई। जिलाधिकारी ने अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों को निर्देश दिये कि जिला कार्यालय के साथ ही विकास भवन को भी पोलीथीन व प्लास्टिक का उपयोग प्रतिबन्धित रखा जाये। उन्होंने कहा कि प्लास्टिक के फोल्डरों के स्थान पर जूट आदि के फोल्डर्स का उपयोग किया जाये।
इस दौरान मुख्य विकास अधिकारी विशाल मिश्रा, अपर जिलाधिकारी डाॅ0 ललित नारायण मिश्र, जय भारत सिंह, जिला विकास अधिकारी तारा हयांकी, उपजिलाधिकारी प्रत्युष सिंह, ओसी कौस्तुभ मिश्रा, एसएनए राजू नबियाल, तहसीलदार नीतू डागर, डीएसटीओ नफील जीमल, मुख्य उद्यान अधिकारी भावना जोशी, डीडीएमओ उमाशंकर नेगी सहित अन्य अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों ने वृक्षा रोपण व स्वच्छता अभियान में शामिल हुए।
