काशीपुर। थाना आईटीआई व वन विभाग की संयुक्त टीम द्वारा बांसखेड़ा प्लाईओवर के नीचे अलीगंज रोड से मोटरसाइकिलनंबरयूके-04एम-7027 से परिवहन करते हुए दो पुरुष व एक महिला को हाथी दांत की अवैध तस्करी करते हुए गिरफ्तार किया गया है। जिसकी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कीमत 12 लाख रुपये है। वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक उधमसिंह नगर के आदेशानुसार पुलिस अधीक्षक काशीपुर तथा क्षेत्राधिकारी काशीपुर के निर्देशन तथा प्रभारी निरीक्षक आईटीई के नेतृत्व में पुलिस व वन विभाग की संयुक्त टीम द्वारा वन्य जीव संरक्षण अधिनियम के तहत देवेंद्र सिंह पुत्र इंद्र सिंह निवासी गन्ना सेंटर कालीपुर पोस्ट देवलचौड़ हल्द्वानी,मनोज बोरा पुत्र खड़क सिंह बोरा निवासी हरिपुर लालमणि गन्ना सेंटर तथा सुखमणि देवी पत्री राम सिंह रावत निवासी पंचेश्वर कोट हरखेड़ा, चंपावत से 34 इंच अवैध हाथी दांत बरामद किया गया। उपरोक्त मामला वन्य जीव संरक्षण अधिनियम से संबंधित होने के कारण अग्रिम कार्रवाई वन विभाग से की जाएगी। एसपी काशीपुर अभय सिंह ने कहा कि अवैध तस्करी में संलिप्त किसी भी अपराधी को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा उनके विरुद्ध कठोर वैधानिक कार्यवाही की जाएगी।
